Merry Christmas, Team Christmas!

We’ve been so inspired by all the photos and posts you’ve shared. Whether you’re posing by the tree in

your new Team Christmas merch or out enjoying the holidays, it’s been truly heartwarming to see the team in action. One highlight? A large group of carollers showing up at Team Christmas HQ to spread some love — even learning and singing the chorus of the new version of our song.

Our merch supplier worked hard to get as many orders delivered before the big day as possible. We know a few teammates will receive their gear after Christmas — but never mind that. As the song reminds us, Every Day Is Just Like Christmas, and we firmly believe any day is a perfect day to wear your merch. We’ll continue updating the store, so be sure to check in from time to time. And remember, all net proceeds will be donated to support brain cancer research.

Now… about the song

There have been a couple of truly incredible developments. We had the honour of connecting with an amazing Canadian musician — and all-around impressive human — Matt Mays. Matt generously stepped in to help structure, record, and produce a brand-new version of Every Day Is Just Like Christmas. Matt opened up his studio to us, and we spent the weekend before Christmas collaborating, tracking vocals, and bringing the new version to life. The chorus features a joyful group of family and friends — none of whom consider themselves singers, yet all of whom sound incredible in the final mix (thank you, Matt!). The track features Matt on most instruments, the fantastic Loel Campbell on percussion, and even a last-minute kazoo solo from yours truly. The song has officially been dubbed the “Tall Trees Version” in a nod to Matt and his studio.

The new version went live on Spotify on Christmas Eve and has since landed on Apple Music and other streaming platforms. Even better, we’re thrilled to share that we hit our goal of 10,000 streams by Christmas, less than a month after the song first dropped. And yes — even though the big day has come and gone, every day is still a great day to stream Every Day Is Just Like Christmas.

We’re still (lovingly) fumbling our way through the social media world, so thank you for following, liking, sharing, and tagging your favourite Canadian performers. Every stream, every share, and every smile helps us turn “you and I” into we.

And just because Christmas Day has passed doesn’t mean the mission stops here. At Team Christmas, Every Day Is Just Like Christmas, and we plan to keep going — and growing — all year long. Looking ahead to 2026, some of our hopes include:

• Exploring the possibility of a Team Christmas Foundation to support brain cancer research
